BIO - Theodore LewisI am Theodore Lewis, Mausica alumnus, 1967-1969, with 1969-1970 being an additional year for special training in industrial arts in readiness for
junior secondary schools. I was a Havenite, with Selwyn Bethelmy (Sto) being my roommate in the first year, and Dr. Clyde Maurice being my I was a member of glory guys. Included the late Kenneth Bobb, Noel Duncan,Ormon Fournilier, Clyde Maurice, Wray McBurnie, Gregory Burns and Alisford Phillips. We ran the fetes. Duncan was president and Fournilier (Foo) was Minister of entertainment. We ran the place. I won the Calypso King competition in 1969 as Lord Scratchie. Scratchie was my nickname throughout. I married Allison Gibbons, who was also from 1967-1969. We had one child Rhea, before divorcing, unfortunately. We are all in touch. My daughter Rhea now works for her alma mater, Penn University in Philadelphia, where she did a masters in Communications. I earned a Ph.D in education in 1983 at the Ohio State University. My field is vocational and technology education. It is a delight to be able to communicate. Mausica was for me easily the best educational experience I have had. I grew up there. While there I rarely left, and at the end I did not want to leave. In fact, a few of us, Orman Fournilier, Dave Dedier, Clyde Maurice, actually got to stay for a third year, though not in the hostels. It is great to be brought in touch with this site, and to be able to communicate. Lord Scratchie |
