Agenda Items:
- Party April 17 – Payment for Tickets can be made by cheque to
Kay Cyrus, who will deposit all of the Alumni’s monies into a new account.
Decorations – lights & balloons
A 50/50 draw will be held and a collection will be taken up for the school
for disadvantaged children, with which Mrs. Timothy is involved. A money
order will be mailed to her.
Clean up – Bernice, Jean, Maurus, Winsley
Menu – pelau (Jean, Irma), BBQ chicken (caterer), fish (caterer), salad &
dressing (Yvonne, Winsley, Barbara), punch (Bernice), Dessert (Ruby,
Barbara), Snacks (Brenda A.), coffee (Joyce), plates, cutlery, napkins
(Joyce), glasses & paper towels (Kay)
Winsley will DJ (bring your CD’s), bar (Maurus & ?)
Members who were not at the meeting are welcome to contact Brenda A.
about what to contribute.
Dance starts at 8pm.
- Reunion
No response has been received from Trinidad regarding the # of people who
will require hotel accommodation. At least 15 guests from Trinidad can be
accommodated at our homes. More spaces might be available from members who
were not at the meeting.Several hotels have been checked for
accommodation, but no prices can be obtained until we know the number of
people who will require rooms. Since the event is set for Caribana week,
hotel rooms and a hall for our dinner/dance, must be reserved ASAP. A
non-refundable deposit will be required from persons requiring hotel
accommodation.
Jean will get the rates for Centennial College – guest rooms, banquet
facilities, catering

- Registration & Reception – Sunday July 24
- Picnic @ a local park – Monday July 25
- Dinner & Dance – Tuesday July 26
- Departure – Wednesday July 27
Deadline for receiving number of participants from Trinidad – May 29,
2004. If we do not get the information from Trinidad, we will focus
venues for the Registration/Reception and for the Dinner/Dance.
Bernice will be placing an ad in Pride and other community newspapers if
possible. Tom had promised to find out about building a website for
the Alumni. Brenda will contact him regarding this.
Information about the Reunion will be available for distribution at the
party on April 17. Question: Is information being widely
disseminated throughout Trinidad & Tobago, the Caribbean and
internationally? What about the Mausicans from Tobago & Grenada?
Maurus Allum will contact Felix while he is in Trinidad during May.
- Other Business
- We will defer formalising the Association, as this implies a
long-term commitment and we are not sure if we want to exist as a
formal group after the Reunion. The focus of the Alumni will be
discussed after the Reunion
- It was suggested that an international Alumni be organised with
reps. from various countries/regions
- Kay promised to provide financial statements regularly & open a
bank account for the funds

- From Eglinton East – North on Markham. 2nd traffic light north
of Eglinton turn left. Turn left on Peking (1st street on the left).

- By Public transit – at Warden subway station take the Markham
road bus and get off at the 2nd traffic light north of Eglinton.
